Full Job Description

The Governing Body of Lliswerry High School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled professional to support activities in regards to school data and examination administration starting from 2nd September 2024.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Data and Examinations Manager and will assist with the administration and management of all examinations, (internal and external). This will include overseeing entries, the receipt, distribution, collection and dispatch of examination papers along with organising seating and rooms plans and acting as lead invigilator in coordinating the invigilation team.

In addition to examinations administration, the successful post holder will assist with the school data reporting systems including producing interim reports and setting up the relevant administration and reporting templates for learner progress reports. You will be responsible for managing the appointments for parent consultation evenings and day to day management of the school management information system including playing a key role in producing the schools statutory returns such as the PLASC (Pupil Level Annual School Census).

The ideal candidate will be flexible, accommodating and a team player with qualifications relevant for the role and relevant experience of working with MS Office, in particular Excel and Word is essential.

The successful candidate will be:-

  • A proven administrator with experience of managing administrative systems


  • Highly motivated and committed


  • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to exercise discretion and work independently


  • Well organised and punctual with a professional attitude to work


  • Willing to work as part of a hard-working, dedicated team


  • Positive, proactive, with a good sense of humour and someone who is willing to work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the school


  • Be an active member of school life and actively subscribe to the ethos of the school

    The additional 5 days are to coincide with Exam results days usually in August.


  • Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.

    This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
