Full Job Description

Are you looking for your next step in your Data career?, To lead data engineering projects and support the developing analytical arm for Data Management and reporting. The candidate will be responsible for a multitude of tasks, including, running bespoke projects for individual business units ensuring data availability, accuracy, automation, and visibility. Supporting the growth of a new data culture from the ground-up by facilitating increased data literacy and new tool adoption. Consolidating and maintaining existing data sources and solutions, while driving adoption of cloud services.
Accountabilities:

  • Drive significant efficiencies through exemplary use and execution of modern technology leveraging the Azure Data technology stack and AI

  • Derive business value from Data whilst meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers, suppliers and colleagues in an innovative and future driven technology landscape.

  • Improving and streamlining data systems and provide robust solutions for business reporting.

  • Consolidating and maintaining existing data sources and solutions, while driving adoption of cloud services.

  • Deliver business efficiencies through use of RPA; ML and AI.

  • Build effective and credible relationships with key stakeholders to become a trusted partner through stakeholder engagement

  • Master's degree in quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering) or equivalent experience

  • Excellent in change management

  • Experience managing a team and working in an agile environment/Atlassian tools

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences

  • Expertise in working with Azure including, Data factory, Kubernetes, SQL Server MI, Azure SQL & Synapse

  • Expert at ETL/ ELT using SQL tools as well external programming languages (R/ Python)

  • Extensive experience with SQL including - query optimization, stored procedures, database creation & maintenance, index optimization & efficient table structuring

  • Extensive practical implementation of data best working practices including, Confluence, Jira (agile methodologies
