Full Job Description

The Data Analyst role is a critical role with the business, utilising customer information and transforming it in to actionable insight for guiding and driving business decisions.
It draws on your experience and skills from data engineering, analytics & data science to business knowledge, and holds the key to understanding its customer base and opportunities.

This is achieved through

  • The delivery of new analytics and insight

  • The development of new products

  • Working directly with business teams to shape demand and solutions


  • The Individual will have a strong analytics background, along with data science skills, coding, and a track record in turning data in to insight. They should be able to understand business functions and processes, should have good communication, and stakeholder management skills.,
  • Understand the commercial and customer objectives of the stakeholders, work to understand how data and analytics can support their goals.

  • Dive actions through the provision of accurate and timely insights to internal customers to support their decision making process

  • To develop pro-active and innovative analysis which can be used as the foundation for incremental improvements in sales, increasing the margin per customer and reducing churn.

  • To develop summary insight reports, pulling together key findings and recommendations

  • Communicate insights, analytic findings and recommendations to internal customers.

  • Understand, align and expand the capability/usage of Three data products and cloud data platforms

  • Educating business users on self-service tools and data preparation/query best practices

    Passionate about producing high-quality analytics deliverables and communicating results to a broad audience

  • Insight and Data visualisation experience, background in delivering rounded / meaningful insight

  • Coding skills, including SQL, KQL and querying large data environments (Snowflake and Azure Data Explorer)

  • Numerate and confident with interpretation, analysis and presentation of statistical data

  • A creative thinker, challenging the status quo and looking for new analytics ideas

  • Proficiency in advanced analytical tools ( including Databricks and Alteryx )

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), stakeholder management and able to challenge the status-quo

  • Experience within data teams to create high quality analytics and data science solutions.

  • Salary range for this role start's at £40,960, and exact salary will differ by job and experience

    At Three we have a hybrid working arrangement in place as standard for office based employees, where employees work from a mix of office based location and working from their home in the UK to carry on their role.

    Excluding retail, core hours at Three are between 10:00 and 16:00, with operating hours between 08:00 & 18:30. This allows employees to have a start time between 08:00 and 10:00 and finish time between 16:00 and 18:30.
