Full Job Description

  • Handling imports clearance from start to finish

  • Communication with external suppliers and government bodies

  • Operationally handle all import shipments on our in house system

  • Operationally handle all export shipments on our in house system

  • Deliver high levels of customer service

  • Support commercial awareness and management team

  • Support and assist colleagues in other departments

  • Ensure customs compliance is maintained

    Essential:

  • Import/export Customs Entry experience (preferably on CDS)

  • Good understanding of import freight procedures

  • Ability to work to demanding deadlines

  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills

  • Computer literate in Microsoft office

  • Excellent Attention to detail

  • Flexible approach and attitude

  • Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team is essential

  • Sound Educational background

  • Excellent organisational skills including record keeping

  • Problem solving and the ability to engage critical thinking skills


  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of customs warehousing

  • Good knowledge of CNS/Destin8/CCS

  • Good knowledge of UK Trade Tariff

  • Workable knowledge of customs procedures
