Your new role:
An opportunity has arisen for experienced Customer Support Co-Ordinator to join the Customer service team on part time (18.5 hours) and fixed term contract basis (11 months). This role is being offered on a hybrid basis which is a combination of working from home and attending the office.

The Information Governance, Complaints and Resolution Hub provide service support and guidance on the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), Records Management and Formal Complaints. As a customer support co-ordinator, you will provide a high-level redaction support service for the Council with particular focus on work arising from the Children's Social Care teams. You will ensure that all documents to be redacted are done so in accordance with best practice and guidance. You will Interrogate, collate, research and evaluate information from key systems and give advice and guidance to Council staff and external partners and providers where appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, previous experience of working in a busy office environment preferably in local government / public sector is essential. Previous knowledge of the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) and best practice and guidance relating to the redaction of documents containing special category data would be desirable. It is essential that you can provide support and assistance on dealing with Subject Access Requests and Requests for Disclosure.
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have experience of computerised systems particularly operating and maintaining word, Excel and Outlook. It is vital that you understand the often sensitive and confidential nature of the subject matter and treat accordingly. It is ideal that you are familiar with and proficient in use of redaction concepts and technology (e.g. Kofax Advanced). You will need to be able to communicate effectively across all levels and be able to work to deadlines, establish good relationships with clients and other stakeholders and be responsible for accurate and timely data input and tracking.
