Full Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative, your role entails consistently delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high standard of communication across all interactions. A vital aspect of this position involves conducting surveys for IMDS Work Types and performing Water Regulations Inspections.

Here are some of the activities you will be involved in…

  • Conducting surveys across a variety of work types, utilising your detailed operational knowledge of metering and developer services operations.

  • Resolving issues and complaints, particularly regarding billing queries, through field visits and effective communication.

  • Performing water regulations inspections to ensure compliance with standards and promptly identifying and addressing any non-compliance issues.

  • Installing, exchanging, and troubleshooting smart meters to ensure efficient water usage and network communication.

  • Providing personalised water-saving reports to customers and fitting water-saving devices in their homes to promote sustainable practices.

    You are self-motivated and disciplined, capable of handling a variety of tasks with flexibility, who is able to managing complex billing inquiries and challenging customers, applying regulatory knowledge effectively. You should also be comfortable working independently in all weather conditions.


  • Desired skills and qualifications include certification in construction skills, SWQR Street Works & EUSR National Water Hygiene, and knowledge of WRAS Water Supply/Water Fitting Regulations. Additionally, two years of experience in a customer service environment, a full driving license, and an NVQ in Retro Fitting Water Saving Devices are preferred, along with expertise in CDM Design.
