Full Job Description

The Customer Service Team is a multi-channel first point of contact for a variety of internal and external customers. We provide a high quality of service delivery across a diverse range of services on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council, through various channels both traditional and contemporary. Adult Social Care Support service duties currently include the initial review of adult social care enquiries, safeguarding enquiries and decision making on referrals. The Customer Service Team respond to queries through several channels these include Shire Hall reception services, phone, email and web-based enquiries. The developments in technology will continue to underpin the work of Customer Services Officers., This is a great time to join Gloucestershire County Council, as we are on an exciting journey. Customer Service Team is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester and you will work with enthusiastic and supportive colleagues who are passionate about their work and what they achieve together as a team. If you are a creative individual with the ability to ensure that queries are answered effectively, efficiently and in line with the Council's policies and procedures, we would like to hear from you., You need to have excellent communication skills, have a confident telephone manner and respond positively during difficult conversations. You will be self-motivated, pragmatic, resilient and take ownership of enquiries to resolution.
