Full Job Description

Interacts with customers on a daily basis, promptly responding to all inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Encourages the sale of the company gift card and applies exemplary customer relationship skills that promote a superior company image. Provides information to customers on promotions, product features, prices, services & substitutes when asked.
You will be working Monday to Friday, on a casual basis, 08:00 to 20:00. This is a 0-hour contract.

You will also:

  • To give the customers and visitors the best experience possible.

  • Take responsibility for the administration of customer queries and records

  • To talk positively and confidently to all customers, retailers, and visitors

  • To achieve sales of Gift Cards in line with centre targets

  • To promote the Manchester Arndale gift card at every opportunity and to be able to sell the gift cards at the information desks and encourage sales throughout the mall

  • To gather weekly KPI information with discretion.

  • To be responsible for the safety of customers in the centre, being aware of slips, trips and falls.

  • To operate and be responsible for the tills and ensuring that they balance at the end of each shift and money taken to control for banking

  • Be responsible for the tidiness & cleanliness of the customer experience desk and ensure that all stock is well managed

  • Communicate regularly with staff through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.

  • To supervise activities of all subordinates, ensuring that they are properly trained to competently carry out their duties and responsibilities as well as ensuring that they acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.

  • To support Manager in ensuring that equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.

  • You will be required to work closely with the Group Health and Safety team who are available to provide safety advice and support. Furthermore you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control

    GCSE level is essential

  • Demonstrable experience within the retail industry, with a track record for innovation and success

  • Experienced in a fast paced work environment and customer focused environment
