Full Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Sales Advisor to join our small customer focused team at Barnstaple Station.

About the job?

You will be required to sell a full range of tickets, assist customers with their journey plans and explore upselling opportunities during sales. You will need to be customer focused to enable you to resolve any customers/ticket related issues.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Providing the highest level of customer service and being proactive to customer needs

  • Accurately and impartially selling the full range of products and services to our customers in a friendly, professional and efficient manner

  • Maximising opportunities for increased sales at ticket offices by adopting selling techniques and offering enhanced products to customers

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of ticket machines and IT equipment

  • As a minimum you will need to have:
  • The ability to work as part of a team or independently

  • Evidence of numerical ability

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Applicants shortlisted will be invited to an interview. The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for the role. A Basic DBS is also required.
