Full Job Description

EBISS is a specialist logistics provider - specialising in events and exhibition stands, art shipping and specialist freight.

Events - Our dedicated and experienced team supports all clients' exhibition and events needs from stand design, event logistics, set up and dismantle and storage between events.

Art - Professional art handling, packing and shipping worldwide, supporting artists, galleries, auction houses, art fairs and craft makers.

Freight - moving shipments from A to B is what EBISS do. Whatever the size, weight, fragility, or urgency, the EBISS freight team will ensure your shipment arrives on time, every time. With complete warehouse and packing support provided.

We are currently expanding our crew-member team and are looking to recruit individuals with a logistics/driving background. Ideally you will be able to drive LGV's and above, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

Part of this role will be supporting logistics to UK and overseas exhibitions, so you will be required to travel and stay away at events, erect and dismantle stands at the start and end of the show. You will also be required to be customer facing, so customer service and communication skills are essential.

This is a varied and exciting opportunity for someone who is flexible.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Warehouse and Transport Manager your role will include:

Exhibition stands prebuilds (onsite)

· Pre-building of client exhibition stands in the warehouse to ensure

competency in constructing and that the pack is complete and free of defects.

· Labelling and certifying completed builds.

· Checking returned exhibition items prior to going back into storage.

Loading and driving - collections and deliveries

· Loading vehicles making sure all items are packed correctly and securely.

· Driving to client sites UK and overseas.

· Collecting and delivering freight and event equipment around the UK and

overseas.

· Collecting and delivering artwork to galleries, exhibitions and client's homes.

Exhibitions: stand construction & installation

· Driving to exhibitions and events in the UK and overseas.

· Constructing stand within allocated time frame, efficiently, safely and to a high

standard. Contacting the Warehouse Manager with any issues regarding the construction. Noting any problems or issues with installation to later report to Warehouse Manager.

· Ensuring flooring is laid properly and cabling in the correct places.

· Liaising with clients where appropriate, maintaining positive customer
relationships.

· Getting client to sign-off the stand construction.

· Compliance to on-site health and safety constraints.

· Dismantling stand to allocated time and returning equipment to warehouse.

Warehouse (onsite)

· Picking and packing events equipment and giveaways ready for shipping.

· Palletising goods for shipping.

· Ensuring all collections and deliveries are correctly recorded on the Company's

systems.

· Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are adhered to.

Art Installations:

· Assisting the art installer to display clients artwork.

· Handling and packing artwork at art fairs.

Quality

· Ensure work onsite for clients is carried out to the highest standards at all times,

· Cleaning of graphics / structure / tables.

· Hoovering and all other finishing touches.

Drivers Requirements

· To comply with driving hours regulations and working time directives. To ensure driving ability adheres to the safety of others and oneself on the road,

always ensuring legal compliance.

· Ensuring all paperwork is correctly signed, properly distributed and all administration is accurate.

  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are actioned to support Health and Safety criteria.

  • Oversee safe loading and unloading of goods.

  • Responsible for security of loads.

  • Adhere to health and safety procedures.

  • Willingness to work increased hours during peak times.

  • Flexible working patterns as shifts times may vary.


  • Any maintenance or other reasonable duties as specified by the Warehouse Manager.

    Desirable requirements

    · FLT driver

    · Able to drive up to 7.5T or over

    · Driver CPC (or willing to work towards it),
  • Have you had experience working in a logistics or warehouse role?


  • Experience:
  • Commercial driving: 1 year (preferred)

  • customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
