Full Job Description

We are looking for a couple of casual event staff for the up and coming outdoor events season working on our crepe catering unit. At events we are a busy unit making both savoury and sweet crepes for the public and serving drinks. We require people to help set up the work units and get ready for trading once set up and trading begins the work will be front of house and crepe making. We are based in Colchester but will be attending shows in Essex, (Chelmsford area, Hadleigh area) Suffolk, (Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Ipswich) and one in Norfolk (Sandringham).,

  • Casual summer work -weekends and one bank holiday in August so must be available for these kind of days.

  • Idea of dates: Most weekends in May, some are just one day. Then 15th June, 13th of July, 30th July - 4th August inclusive and 23rd - 26th August inclusive.

  • Front of house experience in catering industry would be beneficial.

  • All staff passes for events will be provided for by the business.

  • These positions would ideally suit school leavers, uni students, students, people looking for casual work weekend work, chefs casual work.

    • We will select candidates to join us for an informal interview and trial on the crepe trailer before final selection.

    Ideally a strong experienced crew member to manage the trailer crepe making, taking payment, and overseeing all duties. Good rates of pay .

  • Also a Crepe maker with experience would be very benefical but not essential as training will be given.

  • Ideally you should hold level 2 food safety and hygiene certification.

  • Driving license is a must and your own vehicle to travel to events.

  • Trust worthy and punctual

  • Must be able to work as part of a team.

  • Hard worker - it can be full on whilst we have a large que so must be used to catering enviroment.

  • Cash position - good rates of pay and benefits such as eating crepes!
