Full Job Description

St Peter's C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated Cover Supervisor who will provide support and cover across the school from EYFS to year 6 with a focus on teaching our PE/ Sports curriculum. Our successful candidate will be responsible for delivering PE lessons, running sports clubs including after school and lunchtime clubs and taking groups of chidlren to attend sporting events against other schools.
This post is ideal for those who are intersted in either developing their career as a sports coach or as an initial experience which could lead on to teacher training. It is suitable for those who have had coaching experience but have not worked in the primary sector and would like to develope thier experience in this area or those with experience of working in primary schools who would like to develop thier career towards sports leadership.
The PE curriculum for our school is well planned and detailed lesson planning will be provided for each lesson. Our school enjoys being an active participant in the Tunbridge Wells Sports Partnership and there are a range of competitions and sporting experiences that the successful candidate will be able to attend with the chidlren. The role will invole working with our sports administrator to plan which chidlren will be entered into events and to ensure the school keeps abrest of all the possibilities avaialable in the local area.
The role is intially for 18 hours per week, ideally from 12 midday to 4:30pm Monday - Thursday but this is flexible and can be discussed at interview. Term time only plus 3 days inset training. Full time equivalent salary range of £24,040 to £25,002 pro rata per annum.

St Peter's CE Primary School is a happy, successful and over subscribed school with 210 children on roll. Our school is set in a beautiful part of Tunbridge Wells. Although it is possible to easily walk into the centre of Tunbridge Wells from our school, we are set on the edge of the town in the Hawkenbury Village area. Our children live locally to our school with many walking from the surrounding roads.
We have a wonderful site, with far reaching views, forest school, a field and a beautiful new building which was completed in 2021.
