Full Job Description

Within this particular role as a country park warden, your core duty will be to run and maintain the Pitch & Putt kiosk, course and crazy golf course.

Core duties will include -

Running the pitch and putt kiosk - selling tickets (handling cash), issuing equipment and engaging with the public for general information.

Course maintenance - Setting up and closing down the courses, operating the sprinkler systems, mowing (ride on and push) plus some vegetation management (shrub beds and weeding).

Secondary duties will be to assist with the wider tasks within the country parks, ONLY when all of the P&P duties have been covered.

These include -

Cleaning toilets and BBQ's, emptying bins, litter picking, fishing and statutory safety checks (play park, dams, splash park), vegetation management (mowing and strimming), engaging with the public, contractors and external events.

You must have good time keeping and organisational skills, be self-motivated and have adequate numeracy skills to handle cash confidently. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be dealing with the general public and enquiries on a daily basis.

The role includes working weekends and bank holidays - bank holidays will compensated with a day in LIEU.

All full UK driving license is desirable but not a necessity.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act "for the effective performance of a customer-facing role").

The ability to travel throughout the Borough will be required in order to be available to support sessions and events around the town., Potential applicants are sometimes put off if they don't meet 100% of the requirements.
