Counterbalance Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to load and unload materials, assist with shipping and receiving, and perform general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in materials handling, basic math skills, and knowledge of warehouse management systems.

Duties:
- Operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
- Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move and stack materials
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
- Utilise basic math skills to accurately count and record inventory
- Use a warehouse management system to track inventory movement

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Valid forklift certification/license
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor equipment repairs or adjustments
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus
