Full Job Description

It's an exciting time to join the Marketing and Communications team here at AXA, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us create compelling content for our audiences we're looking for a talented individual to join the team.

As Copywriter, you'll be responsible for creating engaging content across a variety of channels and media in support our brand, customer acquisition, engagement and retention activities.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at one of our office locations.

We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working across our brand, growth and customer marketing teams supporting a range of copy needs

  • Developing content ideas and write copy for a variety of earned, owned, shared and paid media channels for both B2B and B2C audiences. Including health articles for our Staying Healthy hubs and customer stories, to information about our products and services.

  • Developing engaging and persuasive copy for a variety of marketing materials and assets.

  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand needs, develop ideas and ensure alignment of brand tone of voice, messaging and compliance across all materials and channels.

  • Leveraging insight on industry trends, competitor offerings and customer need to inform messaging.

  • Optimising copy for SEO to enhance online visibility and drive organic traffic to our website.

  • Effectively communicating with diverse audiences, such as industry professionals, consumers within the market or those who are already with us.

  • Editing and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.

    Proven experience as a copywriter in B2B and B2C marketing role. This could be in house or with an agency.

  • Exceptional writing writing health and wellbeing articles and content, editing and proofreading skills.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and the ability to craft compelling narratives that drive action and engagement.

  • Passion for health and understanding of what makes our audiences tick.

  • Experience speaking with people about sensitive topics, informing your talent for human storytelling

  • Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of adhering to and managing within a regulated environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and priorities.

  • Proficiency in SEO best practices.

  • Confident presenting your ideas and work and engaging with colleagues to ideate, plan and produce creative. and communication skills. The ability to adjust style to situation and audience.


  • As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

    This position has been defined as an Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) role under the IDD regime which means that in addition to pre-employment screening checks, the successful candidate will be subject to background screening every 4 years with an annual declaration in interim years.
