Full Job Description

Run the Kitchen with the support of the kitchen team, creating menu plans, ordering food and planning the rota.

With the rest of the team, create a 'meal time experience' to enable residents to live their best life.

Preparing and cooking, along with a Kitchen Assistant, high quality home cooked food.

Bake cakes and other snacks as required.

Knowledge

· Know how to create meal plans

· Knowledge of the standards required to keep the kitchen clean and tidy

· Knowledge of special dietary requirements

· Food Hygiene level 2

· Knowledge of Environmental Health requirements/ HACCUP

· Knowledge of IDDSI

· Willingness to keep learning

Abilities / Skills

· Committed to working to high standards

Experience

· Experience of running a kitchen and ordering food.

· Experience of cooking home cooked meals and cakes for over 25 people

· Understanding how to create the 'meal time experience' for residents

· Experience of menu planning

(An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered Heritage Manor),

  • cook/chef: 2 years (preferred)

  • kitchen: 1 year (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship? (required)

  • Driving Licence ad access to a vehicle? (required)
