Full Job Description
- Write PLC, HMI, SCADA software to meet the project requirements
- Communicate with customers and understand their requirements to provide engineering proposals including costs.
- Adhere to projects, budgets and deadlines
- Deliver projects with control software and process safety systems engineering design
- Create associated documentation with software/hardware solution
- Carry out full control systems design, complete all documentation, carry out site commissioning and provide post installation support
- Write detailed functional design specification
- Seek new business opportunities where possible
Excellent verbal and written communication - Previous PLC, HMI, SCADA software writing experience (3 Years+)
- Clean driving license
- Able to work as part of a multidiscipline team or on solo projects
- Work under time constrains
- Intermediate level experience with PLC and SCADA. Ideally Siemens, Rockwell & Mitsubishi and InTouch and Ignition SCADA
- Good understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet etc)
- Any experience of safety systems design and programming would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC preferred however open to consider experience of other market leading systems - training will be given
- Available for occasional work away and on weekends when the projects require it
- Able to understand electrical drawings
- Experience working in an engineering environment.
