As Contract Management Manager for SCM, you will be part of the Legal & Contract Management team of the Business Unit Grid Integration. You will be responsible to lead a team with overall responsibility to provide professional and strategic advice on a broad range of
the procurement for the SCM department, as well as for the project contract management in strong cooperation with project team and with the support of Legal Counsel when required. The Contract Management Manager for SCM is reporting solid line to the Global Head of Legal & Contracts of the business unit Grid Integration and dotted line to the Global Head of Supply Chain Management of the business unit Grid Integration. In this area, you are going to manage a team of Contract Managers located globally and will further define the structure and governance needed. Your responsibilities: The field of activity of you and your team includes: - set the contractual strategy and driving the negotiation of complex supply agreements (General Terms and Conditions, Frame Agreements, Capacity Reservation Agreements, Consortium Agreements, Templates) - meet with customers, partners and suppliers, negotiating contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders to drive the development
of different business models particularly with regard to high value complex tenders and projects (HVDC, offshore wind connections, substations and FACTS) - provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional business team members - develop supply and subcontracting strategies based on Hitachi Energy's procurement strategy, policies, customer requirements, feedback and lessons learned - identify issues of concern to the business and proactively develop effective strategies, mitigation actions and practical solutions in support of business activities - supervise the flow-down from the main contract to the subcontract/supply packages, and ensure all relevant procurement documents (e.g. general and special terms and conditions, scope of work, time schedule, bill of quantities, payment terms, securities, document templates) are contractually sound and protecting Hitachi Energy - serving as a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the
effective application of contract management and legal mandates into the SCM cycle - influence the overall management of the contract management and legal department department through active interactions - foster collaboration within your team and across teams within the legal and contract management department, as well as with other functions - manage the Contract Management SCM team, handling all people management tasks, particularly professional development, coaching, motivation and empowerment - command the effective development of resources and operational efficiency, including standardization and digitalization of the legal services - contribute to the development of directives and assist with their implementation - ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations as well as internal regulations in various fields - promote dispute avoidance and strategize the management of disputes and litigations liaising, with legal and experts - operate within
allocated budget

A bachelor's degree in law (preferred only) - Minimum of 15 years of experience and extensive experience managing contract management teams in the field of major EPC. - Working knowledge of FIDIC and offshore contracts - Proven communication, drafting of contracts and negotiation skills - Ability to travel - Proficiency in English. Any other language is an advantage
