Full Job Description

Within Digital, the COO (Chief Operating Officer) team plays a critical role in driving the Digital transformation: we set and implement the overall BT Digital strategy and plans and we are the engine room driving the outcomes required for our customers. We work across multiple customer units (e.g., Consumer, Enterprise, Global divisions) covering needed updates to products, customer journeys, platforms, 3rd parties, strategic partners, IT architecture and innovation.,

  • Contract Governance manages all partner governance while supporting the executive team with advice and subject matter expertise on corporate governance matters.

  • Supports the COO governance efforts to address emerging governance issues, setting strategy for the governance programme, and leading broader function initiatives.

  • Execute the review of Partner Management risk framework refining risk management and oversight processes, templates, and executive management reporting dashboards.

  • Strong engagement efforts with key stakeholders and management of partner governance matters, including the preparation of materials for board meetings, delivering the maintenance of partner updates, records, and counselling on executive compensation matters.

  • Regularly assessing priority risk threats and effectiveness of controls, crisis identification / response / recovery plans and capabilities, both internal and at critical third-party vendors / supplier organisations, provides guidance on effectively managing the risk of ineffective capabilities, and influences decision making by educating business stakeholders on the risk.

  • Control all contractual obligations, penalty payments and credits for in-life partner management.

  • Operates as an SME within partnerships management, leads governance with the objective of ensuring all services provided by partners are fit-for-purpose and cost effective.

  • Ensures key partners align with group partnership strategies, working with critical stakeholders across the region to achieve objectives.

  • Leads the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities to improve partnership governance processes.

    Partner Relationship Management - Proven experience in managing and governing relationships with subcontractors and software publishers.

  • Ability to establish and enforce performance governance frameworks and standards.

  • Contract Management - Expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and management, including experience with complex contracts involving subcontractors and software publishers.

  • Knowledge of legal and compliance requirements related to partner contracts.

  • Performance Governance - Strong understanding of performance governance principles and methodologies to monitor and optimize partner performance.

  • Ability to set and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Vendor Evaluation and Selection - Proficiency in evaluating subcontractors and software publishers based on criteria such as technical capabilities, reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Experience in conducting due diligence and risk assessments for potential partners.

  • Compliance and Regulatory Expertise - Deep knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements relevant to partner relationships, including data privacy, security, and industry-specific standards.

  • Ability to ensure partners' adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.

  • Service Quality Assurance - Experience in implementing quality assurance processes to ensure that partner services meet or exceed contractual obligations.

  • Ability to identify and rectify service quality issues.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations.

  • Ability to liaise between different departments and partners to ensure alignment.

  • Risk Management - Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to partner relationships.

  • Experience in managing potential risks associated with subcontractors and software publishers.

  • Financial Acumen - Understanding of financial models, pricing structures, and budget management related to partner contracts and performance governance.

  • Ability to analyse financial data and assess the financial impact of partner performance.

  • Continuous Improvement - Commitment to continuous improvement of partner governance processes and practices.
