We are seeking an experienced Content Designer to volunteer their expertise in creating, evaluating, updating, and reviewing content throughout the end-to-end user journey. Your role will be vital in ensuring our content meets the needs of our users and supports our mission.

About Us: Criminal Justice Hub provides comprehensive resources and support to individuals and communities navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system. We aim to promote fairness, justice, and accessibility through our online platform.

What are we looking for?

Your Role:

  • Create, evaluate, update, and review content at all stages of the user journey.

  • Use evidence, data, and research to make informed content decisions.

  • Build relationships across government and the public sector to focus on user needs and influence stakeholders.

  • Contribute to and utilise style guides and content patterns.

  • Engage with and contribute to the cross-government content community.

  • Demonstrate awareness of Agile methodology and apply an Agile mindset to your work.

  • Use prototyping techniques to visualise content in context and choose the best option for different audiences.

  • Identify and communicate with important stakeholders regularly, tailoring communication to their needs.

  • Contribute to content strategies and policies, and support content improvement projects.

  • Translate user stories into content that meets user needs, using data and research to inform decisions.

    Copywriting / Journalism

  • Service design, Agile Working: Understand and demonstrate awareness of Agile methodology, applying an Agile mindset to your work.

  • Content Concepts and Prototyping: Understand different prototyping techniques and use them to visualise content in context.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Identify important stakeholders, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships.

  • Strategic Thinking: Contribute to content strategies and policies, focusing on outcomes rather than solutions.

  • User Focus: Identify tasks providing insights into problems, formulate hypotheses, and make data-driven decisions.

  • User-centred Content Design: Design content to meet user needs, making complex language and processes easy to understand.
