Full Job Description

We're looking for a super-smart content coordinator to join the Corporate Communications Team and drive campaigns forwards with passion, purpose and positivity.

Our ambition is to create gold-standard content - not just for a Bank but for a much-loved consumer brand. We bring the narrative around what makes Virgin Money special to life through our internal and external channels and believe this is where the personality of our brand really comes to life.

In this role you'll maintain content to ensure we have a strong presence in the crowd and create a community of followers.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing an editorial and content planner based on our Corporate Communications narrative.

  • Day to day management of our LinkedIn channel.

  • Analysis of daily news and internal news to make sure we never miss an opportunity to share our own news or comment and share relevant news stories that our followers will expect us to have an opinion on.

  • Channel reporting and measurement.

  • Creative production on social media assets.

  • Collaborate with the wider Corporate Communications team on large campaigns and ensure social is represented at key decision-making meetings and planning sessions.

  • Protect our brand and reputation by careful channels management.

    A proven track record and passion for content creation.

  • The ability to spot when to engage with our followers on social and great ideas on how to dial up the Virgin tone of voice.

  • A strong understanding of our brand and how it shows up on social platforms.

  • Experience in building a creative brief.

  • Great copy-writing skills.

  • Previously worked across different teams and business areas.

  • An understanding of how social platforms work and how we can create the right content for the right platform.

  • A good eye for photography and use this to make social content stronger.

  • Digital content creation skills Familiarity in content creation on Adobe Creative Cloud i.e. InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects

    If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks - we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
