Construction & Engineering Solicitor / Associate

We are looking for a Construction & Engineering Associate 1-4 years to join our fast-paced Construction & Engineering team.,

• Assisting (and leading, where appropriate) on a wide range of construction transactions


• Drafting a wide range of construction contracts and relevant documents


• Conducting and assisting with claims in the TCC and MCOL


• Conducting and assisting with adjudications including enforcement actions and Part 8 claims


• Drafting relevant correspondence, letters of claim/response and advising clients


• Liaising with clients and other professionals


• Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the law


• Carrying out administrative duties


• Working with a range of clients from HNW individuals to multinational companies


This is suitable for individuals who want to step away from a traditional model and springboard their career in a top 80 firm.

This position can be based in any of our national offices or with flexibility for remote working.

To be successful in the role, you will have 1- 4 years post qualification experience, with previous experience at Top 200 firm. You will have experience managing a varied construction caseload. You will be pro-active, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive transactions and claims forward.,
• Commercial awareness and negotiating skills.


• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.


• Accuracy and strong attention to detail.


• Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.


• Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms).


• Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks., Are you a qualified Solicitor and or equivalent?
