Concierge / Caretaker

We are seeking a Concierge/Caretaker to work within a residential apartment building in the centre of Lincoln. This role requires someone with basic computer knowledge and practical skills for general repairs and maintenance tasks. PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY

Duties :-

- Perform general cleaning duties. Maintaining the cleanliness of common areas, such as lobbies, hallways, and car park
- Inspect the building for general repairs, carrying them out where possible and contacting the Managing Agent when external contractors are required. Monitoring their work and attendance.

- Distribute building communications, obtaining signatures where required.

- Maintaining petty cash and records for reimbursement.

- Take in parcels and distribute to residents, retaining and keeping secure until collection.

- Monitor and maintain large refuse bins for collection, keeping bins and bin store room clean and tidy using a jet wash. Clean refuse chutes on each floor in the building.

- Clean footpaths, car park and area externally around building with jet wash, after sweeping regularly.

- Monitor building equipment ie lifts, water pumps, electrical pipes, checking all is in order or report faults for external contractors.

- Carry out fire requirements like regular emergency lighting testing, fire alarm testing, checking escape routes. Keeping accurate records for fire brigade and associated contractors who service all building equipment like fire alarm panel, dry riser services, smoke detector testing

Previous experience in maintenance preferred.
- Customer service background an advantage
- Knowledge of building or general maintenance ideal
