Full Job Description

In the role you will be support Legal or core departments and be an integral member of the Compliance Team, undertaking such tasks and activities as dictated by the relevant Director/Head of Department, COLP or Internal Audit Team to ensure adherence to internal processes and systems.,

  • To manage compliance reports received from across the business;

  • Liaise with the team leaders and Heads of within the relevant business areas when dealing with the compliance reports, ensuring agreement as to approach and follow-up of any matters raised by the report;

  • Work with external organisations as required in relation to compliance reports (SRA, LeO, ICO) assist in adherence with current statutes/regulation and Code of Conduct affecting the business.

  • Assist in the drafting of documents supporting decisions of the business, documents required by statute/regulation/Code of Conduct

  • Review and amend where necessary, case documents to ensure adherence with statute/regulation/Code of Conduct;

  • Aid in reviewing workflow changes to ensure correct changes have been made

  • Assistance to the Team in responding to the requirements of external auditors, companies or third parties, to include analysis of cases and such information as necessary to enable the firm to meet its requirements under any agreement.

  • To assist with the firms LEXCEL assessment or such other accreditations as the firm applies for.

    This would be a great opportunity to gain experience with all different aspects of CN, RTA, EL/PL and PI and would suit a NQ Solicitor, experienced file handler, or aspiring solicitor with good legal knowledge. The role requires an adaptable individual who can deal with a varied and challenging workload., Relevant legal knowledge and experience

  • Experience and understanding of working with Proclaim or a similar case management system

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Good IT skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work within a team

  • Excellent attention to detail, Experience working in a compliance environment
