Full Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join the Fiera Capital Europe Compliance team as a Compliance Associate. The Compliance Associate will play a key role in supporting Fiera's compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies and taking on the day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of UK and European Regulatory Compliance.
Your responsibilities:
As a core member of the Fiera Capital Europe Compliance team, the job holder is taking day to day responsibility for:

  • Assist Fiera Capital Europe's sales, marketing & distribution activities in the EMEA region, amongst others by reviewing and approving of marketing documentation and ensuring that appropriate disclosure statements are made.

  • Assist in ensuring the regulated entities in EMEA (UK, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and MENA offices) maintain a comprehensive compliance monitoring programme;

  • A key focus is to support Compliance oversight and AML for the German entity, act as liaison with team on queries. Support with regulatory filings and notifications (BaFin, Bundesbank, etc), liaison with outsourced internal & external audit functions as appropriate.

  • Support portfolio management compliance from time to time.

  • Support corporate compliance on projects from time to time.

  • Support regulatory development projects from time to time.

    1-3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within the asset management industry, preferably with exposure to UK regulations and financial markets.

  • Degree level, preferably with a business, legal, accounting or otherwise related degree, or have strong 'A' levels, a Compliance qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to business practices.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization and communicate complex compliance concepts in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Basic understanding of UK regulatory requirements, including FCA rules and regulations applicable to asset managers, such as COBS, but also directives such as MiFID.

  • Ideally German speaker. Any other European languages a bonus

    For all positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Working English proficiency is also required in order to serve our offices and clients around the world.
