Community Safety Warden - Basildon - AD-HOC

As a Community Safety Warden for Stambridge Group Ltd, you will be responsible for and undertake a range of community safety activities within Basildon and surrounding areas of the Borough. These are including but not limited to:

• Community engagement and support - From giving people directions and providing support in a variety of situations to issuing fixed penalty notices where required. Providing a visible and consistent approach to local areas through uniformed patrols of parks, town centres and designated hot spot areas.


• Community safety - You will be responsible for checking, locking and unlocking of areas and buildings as well reporting on the security of these areas and other public localities, undertaking enforcement duties where required.


Your role will be to provide reassurance to the general public and local businesses, taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary. This role works in line with the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) approved by the Borough council in March 2022.

The Community Safety Wardens primary objective is to reduce anti-social behaviour in designated areas, and successful candidates will be required to undertake Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) training to be able to enforce and issue Fixed Penalty Notices as and when required to do so.

Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence and, preferably, a driving licence.
