Community Recycling Officer

To increase recycling and reduce waste by communicating with the residents of Conwy., Manage all aspects of recycling and waste minimisation performance within an assigned community area.
Visit non-participating householders to provide advice and information on recycling practices.
Participate in the implementation of new recycling schemes by distributing informational literature and recycling containers.
Advise the general public and other interested bodies on recycling and waste minimisation in writing, in person, or by telephone.
Respond to service requests for new or replacement recycling containers.

Education to GCSE level.
Good understanding of sustainable waste management, recycling, and related environmental issues.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Desirable:
Proficiency in word processing, email, and presentation software.
Ability to communicate in Welsh.
Supervision & Management:

Essential:
Well-organised and responsible with the proven ability to work unsupervised.
Contacts & Relationships:

Essential:
Experience in community engagement or customer service.
Ability to engage confidently and enthusiastically with all age groups.
Physical Demands:

Essential:
Some manual handling required for the delivery and demonstration of recycling containers.
Ability to travel to different locations within the County Borough.
Candidate must have a full, clean UK Driving License & DBS checked
