Full Job Description

The Communications Officer will execute The Bartlett's communications strategy, raising awareness and reputation of the faculty and its departments as a leading hub of education, research, impact and engagement in the global built environment sector, and delivering key communications for internal and external audiences, focusing on the following departments:

  • The Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources (BSEER) UCL Institute for Global Prosperity (IGP) UCL Insititute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) They will: Support the delivery of integrated communications content and campaigns for The Bartlett, building brand narrative and thought leadership with key global audiences through a range of campaigns and content (eg podcasts, videos, blogs, articles, case studies and profiles), publications and public events. Play a key role in implementing The Bartlett's digital communications and channel plan, and support the day-to-day management of digital

  • communications channels for BSEER, IGP and IIPP, including websites, social media and email.
  • Work closely with academic leads and develop in-depth knowledge of BSEER, IGP and IIPP, delivering communications activities that strategically support them.

    The successful candidtae should be a creative, organised communications professional, with demonstrated experience of developing, delivering and analysing impactful multi-channel digital communications across diverse audiences. The successful candidate should have experience of researching, writing, and designing for print and digital communication channels. The successful candidate should also be proficient in digital design tools (such as InDesign and Adobe CS), digital content creation, website content management, HTML email platforms, and social media channels and management tools.     This role is only available on a secondment basis (UCL internal candidates only) with an initial start date of 13 May 2024 - 16 May 2025.
