Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join the team as a Commis Chef Apprentice at The Station Kitchen, West Bay. Commis Chefs support the kitchen in providing the culinary offer by preparing, cooking and finishing a range of food items, whilst rotating around each section of the kitchen.,

  • Assisting the kitchen with food preparation

  • Washing up and cleaning down

  • Maintaining excellence in kitchen hygiene

  • Checking deliveries and putting orders away

  • Learning to create dishes, including starters, fish and meat preparation and desserts

  • Vegetable and salad preparations

  • Assisting the head chef and team with general tasks

    Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Presentation skills, Team working, Creative, Physical fitness, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Desired

    surrounds us, our menu's showcase the best, local, sustainable ingredients, our menu flows with the seasons, keeping it fresh and showcasing produce at its very best. We take great pride in doing our bit for the planet, this means, you will find linen napkins on our tables and fluffy towels in our bathrooms, no paper here! We also have firm recycling processes in place, source locally and compost waste within our own seasonal vegetable garden.
