Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Assistant to join our team in Gillingham. In this role, you will work closely with our Openreach client and various projects, providing essential support in commercial activities.,

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of commercial documents, including contracts, invoices, and reports.

  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, expenses, and budgets using Microsoft Excel.

  • Support in the coordination of project activities, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any commercial queries or discrepancies promptly.

  • Assist in the negotiation and management of supplier contracts and agreements.

  • Prepare and update project documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, identifying any potential issues or risks.

  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team as required.

    Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the telecommunications or Utilities industry.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and data analysis.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of commercial principles and contract management processes is desirable.

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt.
