Are you adept at handling various administrative tasks and coordinating commercial activities effectively? Are you comfortable providing support to commercial teams and stakeholders while ensuring smooth operations? Are you experienced in utilising software tools and systems to facilitate commercial processes and enhance efficiency?, As our next Commercial Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial aspects of professional service contracts within the HPC project. Your duties involve assisting project managers in navigating various business processes, systems, and tools, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders. Additionally, you're responsible for furnishing management insights to delivery teams, ensuring optimal alignment of work portfolios with available resources and budgets, and swiftly reallocating resources as priorities evolve., At EDF, everyone is welcome. What you will be doing…

Working as our Commercial Assistant, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Creating purchase orders for procurement of goods and services.

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accruals and goods receipts.

  • Managing expenditure against budgets, making adjustments as necessary.

  • Facilitating changes to allocated internal resources as needed.

  • Resolving issues to maintain effective control over work packages.

  • Providing relevant input during progress meetings to support work package management.

  • Offering ad-hoc support as required, aligned with business needs.

You'll excel at problem-solving independently and driving performance improvements. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, this will enable you to build robust relationships across diverse teams, contributing effectively as an excellent team player. Additionally, you will display a high level of professionalism, enthusiasm for learning, and adaptability, making you well-suited for dynamic and fast-paced environments like this one!


  • With this we're also looking for you to be:

  • Proficient in utilising internal systems and tools integral to Commercial Management, demonstrating a deep understanding of their functionalities.

  • Capable of offering insightful guidance and advice on financial and contract management to enhance budget control and commercial awareness.

  • Experienced in delivering proactive and high-quality support to colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Possesses strong numerical skills, enabling effective interrogation, analysis, and reporting of data.

  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office software, particularly adept in Excel for comprehensive reporting and analysis tasks.

  • Familiarity with SAP, CEMAR, or Fieldglass is advantageous, enhancing proficiency in various aspects of commercial management.
