Full Job Description

As a senior healthcare professional, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a caseload of serious and complex clinical concerns raised about Bank Members (BM) delivery of care, which require investigation.

You will be the main point of contact for external agencies i.e., Local Authority, Police, Legal representatives, union representatives, external investigators, and Trust Investigators and legal teams in relation to management of caseload.,

  • NMC Registered Nurse with senior nurse experience at Band 6. Experience in investigations ie. Datix


  • Accountable for professional judgments and decisions


  • Maintains professional registration as a requirement of the role

  • Ensures all complaints and incidents are investigated in compliance with the NHS Professionals Complaints and Incident Policy and Complaints and Incidents Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) utilising clinical knowledge, expertise and judgment


  • Manages cases in-line with the KPI's for completion

  • Ensures accurate and timely record keeping and data storage at all times throughout the investigation process

  • Handle and store all confidential information in line with information governance and data protection legislation: DPA 2018

  • Escalates through the line management function any potential media or external interest in complaints or incidents involving Bank Members

  • Ensures that all relevant corporate policies and procedures are followed in delivery of the case management function
