Full Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for our UK location to provide client service support to several of our Asset Manager clients in the UK. They will partner with both clients and colleagues to monitor that all service is delivered within the agreed deadlines and to the standards that both the client and State Street would expect. As well as their daily interaction with the client and internal colleagues at State Street the successful candidate would be required to run regular interactions with the client to discuss overall service performance. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
The client service manager is responsible to ensure the client receives the highest level of support across State Street. This is predominately a client facing role, working with the client at various levels of seniority.

  • Accountability for Client Satisfaction, directly as it relates to Client Service and in driving improvement and/or remediation from other Global Delivery teams

  • Accountable for client satisfaction, client service experience globally and accountable for


  • performance measures and NPS Surveys / Service Responses
  • Effectively manage staff by driving mission of the client service organization; create opportunities for emerging talent to move into stretch assignments; proactive succession and development planning

  • Advance the team's collective knowledge and effectiveness by bringing insights, innovation and solutions to the team and ensuring sustainable best practice across the full suite of products and services STT offers

  • Responsible for reducing operational risks caused by clients or their agents

  • Play a key role in establishing and nurturing a culture of 'Risk Excellence' across the GD UK Client Service team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion.

  • Play a key role in establishing and nurturing a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members' behaviour in performing their roles.

  • Communicate at all levels professionally with impact and empathy.

    Ability to face off with a client at various levels

  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet client deliverables., Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of industry relevant experience and likely a background in either custody or general ledger accounting or audit experience

  • Previous client service reporting experience

  • Advanced Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
