Full Job Description

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for a friendly, hardworking and experienced Clerical Officer to join our Rheumatology / Osteoporosis Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual with good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative; you will provide vital administrative support for the Rheumatology / Osteoporosis team., To work as a member of the Rheumatology/ Osteoporosis team providing efficient and effective administration/clerical support for the Rheumatology clinical services

The Clerical officer will maintain a close working relationship with the Assistant Directorate Manager and Consultants as well as other medical, admin and nursing staff within the service.

General administration duties such as dealing with patient/colleague queries, outpatient booking and planning will be part of this role. Printing of outpatient clinic letters and patient correspondence letters, printing of dexa reports, uploading scans into cellma and entering referrals onto WPAS will also be part of this role.

The post holder will take queries from patients, dealing with those within the role and passing on details to the appropriate member of staff to deal with.

The post holder will work with the Support Manager to deal with any issues as they arise.

This post will be based in Neath Port Talbot hospital but working across sites may be required to ensure the service's needs are met.

The ideal candidates will have previous clerical experience with a high level of computer literacy and will be able to deal effectively with prioritising workload and deadlines. The post holder must be able to work with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
