Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a Class 2 HGV driver to join our Transport Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving an assigned motor vehicle, responsible for the operation and use of the vehicle and associated equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle, and refuelling of the vehicle.

The successful candidate must have tale life experience and a HIAB Licence preferably ALLMI.

This role will require occasional over night work

We are looking for someone who can work independently and unsupervised, can communicate effectively to the transport team, to external companies and the public whilst providing the highest level of customer care. They will need to follow written and verbal instructions and will be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and must be confident that they are able to stay within the WTD/Driving Hours rules and regulations and plan the day accordingly.

Every day, safety checks must be done to the vehicle and the equipment whilst following health and safety guidelines, safe working practices and undertake work in compliance with Manual Handling Regulations. Training will be provided only where relevant.

Cleveland Cable Company is the largest supplier of cables and cable accessories in the UK. Founded in 1978, we operate nine branches across the UK and Ireland supplying domestic and European markets. In 2016, we launched Dubai-based Cleveland Cable Trading FZCO to supply markets in the Middle East and Africa, taking our business truly global. Additionally, we own and operate Superlec Direct - an electrical wholesale, supplier and retail e-commerce website.

This can be a demanding role within the business. Standard working hours will be Monday to Friday although there will be a requirement to cover both early and late shifts if required. Hourly rate is £14.60 per hour. Overtime rate is paid at time and a half - £21.90 per hour.
