Full Job Description

Hertsmere Borough Council operate the parking service for Three Rivers District Council and we are looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our existing teams at Hertsmere Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council.

You will be required to patrol the streets and car parks and to carry out enforcement against illegally parked vehicles. You will also provide advice to members of the public and check that parking machines and equipment are in good working order.

The successful applicant will enjoy working outside and will be someone who can deal with members of the public in a helpful and diplomatic manner. You will need to use computerised equipment and personal safety equipment and gain an understanding of the legal requirements of the job. Applicants need to have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. Full training will be given so previous experience in a similar role is not essential., Disability Confident

The post is offered on a permanent basis. Both full time (36 hours per week) and part time will be considered. Your working week will include some Saturday, Sunday and early evening working. There will be an enhanced rate for Sunday working and some opportunities for overtime.

The successful applicant will be required at times to work between both locations as part of the partnership.
