Full Job Description
- Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns whilst having fun
- Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children appropriately
- Supporting children's learning and development, including supporting planning and observations
- Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children
- Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea
- Supporting children's self-help needs
- Being creative and enthusiastic
- Following safeguarding rules Undertaking First Aid training as required
- Undertaking training as appropriate to meet any changes in standards or appropriate legal requirements as required
- Ensuring that all Health and Hygiene requirements are always adhered to, Your classroom days will be based in central Birmingham taking place once a week for the first 13-weeks
You will gain an NVQ Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification with a view to continuing onto a Level 3, Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/4 or Above) Essential - Working week

This branch is currently working towards the 'Curiosity Approach' which provides endless opportunities for children to develop their curiosity, awe and wonder in a calm and natural environment. We discourage bright colourful walls and excessive plastic furniture and instead we aim to create 'a home from home' environment to create a tranquil learning environment.

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that's part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Minimum Wage Rates
Apprentices are required to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of the business. The average working week will be between 30-40 hours, Monday to Friday.
