Full Job Description

Churchfields Day Nursery are looking for a Nursery Assistant Apprentice, you will be studying toward your Early Years Practitioner - Level 2. Duties include: recording and tracking children's developmental progress, ensuring accurate documentation, and attending to daily welfare requirements of children- including meals and personal care.

Your responsibilities will include expanding on children's development through interactive play both indoors and outdoors, recording observations, building strong relationships with parents, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children through effective safeguarding practices.,

  • Record and track children's developmental progress, ensuring accurate documentation.

  • Attend to daily welfare requirements of children, including meals and personal care.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.

  • Create and implement exciting and engaging activities to stimulate children's learning and development.

  • Supervise children during meal times, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

  • Introduce children to new experiences and support them in exploring their interests.

  • Organise and accompany children on outings, promoting social interaction and exploration of the world around them., It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

  • This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

  • This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner - Level 2.

  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
