Full Job Description

Nelson's Journey is recruiting a Child Bereavement Support Worker to provide support for children and young people following the death of a significant person. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of child development, experience of working directly with children, good assessment skills, and an understanding of how to effectively manage an allocated caseload.

Candidates do not need to have extensive experience of providing bereavement support as training is provided. One of our Support Workers says

A willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends is required. Access to a vehicle is essential, for which the appropriate mileage rate will be paid. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The successful candidate must be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people. Right to Work in the UK will need to be established. We are an equal opportunities employer.
