Full Job Description

We are looking for someone who is passionate about food, and the type of menu we serve.

A chef at a great level of experience, who can carry out prep & service.

You'll be working alongside our dynamic, friendly & hardworking team of chefs, who hold a wealth of knowledge and experience between them.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Kitchen Work

· Assisting all Senior Chefs in the effective and efficient running of the kitchen operation, ensuring successful running of the business daily.

· You will carry out all aspects of daily service, prep and related tasks, and be an all-rounder, assisting with cooking, baking, and plating dishes.

· Prepare, cook, serve, and portion all dishes to the restaurant's standards of quantity to minimise waste.

· To monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment to support a clean and organised work environment.

Quality Control

· Checking in deliveries and rectifying or alerting any issues that arise to do with stock or orders.

· Suitably storing deliveries as per instruction.

· Quality control at all points of service

H&S

· To clean as you go, adhering to all due diligence, and cleaning duties.

· To have an understanding of HACCP & all kitchen H&S protocols and procedures.

· Ensuring stock rotation & day dot protocol is carried out

· To ensure the wellbeing of all our kitchen staff by maintain an organized, clean and safe workplace, not only for yourself but also for those around.

· Report for duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform and protective clothing and adhering to specified grooming standards

· To have an awareness of fire safety.

· To understand the importance of allergen control.

· To have an awareness of COSHH.

· To keep communication avenues open, professional, and positive with all staff within the company.

WHAT YOU OFFER

· Previous experience of working in busy kitchen

· Knowledge of food and commercial kitchen safety

Training & Experience

Ideally you'd have at least one of the following:

· At least two years commercial kitchen experience (working in a similar setting)

· An Apprenticeship in relevant subject

· Catering training or experience.

A valid Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate would be ideal.

This is a permanent role, on a casual hours contract, and hours will vary seasonally.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.00-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 45 per week
