Our Team consists of, Staff Nurses and Charge Nurses, Support workers, A Peer support worker, Occupational Therapists, A Housekeeper, Ward Administrator, Consultant Psychiatrist and a ward manager. Each member of our team, along with our service users and family/friend carers is as important as the other, and bring their unique skills and knowledge into all aspects of our work.

This involves helping us achieve our strategy to improve the quality of life for the communities we serve through People, Prevention and Partnerships., An opportunity has arisen at Rutland Gardens specialist Rehab and Recovery in-patient unit, for a highly motivated, hardworking and compassionate Charge Nurse/Deputy ward Manager with a passion for Recovery in mental health nursing., You will need to demonstrate a range of skills including effective leadership, sound clinical skills, compassion and self-reflection, effective Staff supervision and appraisals, Roster management, empathy, self-awareness and an understanding of the Mental Health Act.,

  • Professional qualification Diploma in Mental Health Nursing

  • Registered Nurse with current registration (mental health / LD/ Adult) appropriate to the job role

  • Competion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent

  • Evidence of continuous professional development, Significant post qualifying experience relevant to the care group

  • Experience of working alongside people with severe mental health problems particularly in their acute phase of illness

  • Experience of supervising staff

  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team

  • Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments

  • Experience of partnership working within and across various statutory and non statutory teams and agencies

  • Experience of working within the CPA process

  • Understanding of clinical governance, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
