Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within the Catering Department at The Freeman Hospital for a Part Time Catering Assistant to work as a part of our team working in the Freeman Kitchen on our patients side of the operation, as a part of the team you will also be responsible for the cleanliness of the department in line with food hygiene regulations and trust policies and plating of the food for patients.

Working, Mondays to Friday,

  • Working on the patient belt plating up food for patients before going to the ward.

  • Working in the dishwasher area, stripping the plates and putting them through a dishwasher when trolleys return from the wards.

  • some food preparation may be required

  • Emptying of bins and removing rubbish from department.

  • General cleaning duties within the department.

  • At all times following food hygiene and trust policy regulations.
