Full Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated catalogue manager to join our team and help us manage and organise our growing collection of music., We are seeking a Catalogue Manager who will play an active part in taking Cutting Edge Group and White Stork to the next level and contributing to the overall success of the company as we scale.

We need someone to oversee the daily operations of our music catalogue, keep everything in order, refresh our monthly playlists and coordinate the delivery of tracks.

We're looking for someone to get to know our current roster, be proactive with entering metadata, someone who enjoys refreshing our featured tracks and playlists when new tracks come through.

We're looking for somebody who loves music and is a good communicator.

  • Manage and maintain the digital catalogues, ensuring all music metadata is accurate and consistently updated.

  • Assist in the acquisition and cataloguing of new music assets. Organise incoming composer track deliveries, update shared spreadsheets and verifying accuracy. Add metadata and make these tracks available in our relevant Disco libraries.

  • Request album cover artwork, and assist with album, playlists and track titles.

  • Work closely with the legal & registrations team to ensure all music tracks are properly registered and licensed.

  • Organise and conduct regular audits of the music catalogue to ensure compliance with internal standards.

  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding the music catalogue.

  • Showcase and regularly update featured tracks and albums in Disco, ensuring the selection remains fresh and reflective of the latest additions to our catalogue.

  • Create and maintain seasonal and timely playlists, adding new tracks as they come through to keep them updated and easily discoverable.

  • Deliver new tracks to Soundmouse, QWire, and BMAT (and additional platforms as required) on a timely basis, working alongside our US-based Catalog Manager.

  • Double-check clearance and assist the team with cue sheet requests from clients, assuring accurate metadata for reporting.

  • Monitor and maintain all track spreadsheets to ensure no details are missed and processes run smoothly, evolving them as we scale.

  • Conduct music research as required, creating playlists tailored to clients' briefs.

    A passion for music and a broad knowledge of different genres.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • An understanding of music licensing and rights management.

  • Prior experience in this role, or a similar music-related role is desirable.

  • An understanding of the importance of metadata and accurate reporting.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks is essential.

  • Be a team player; going above and beyond when the team needs extra support.

  • In depth knowledge of Disco a plus!

  • Salary of £25,000 per annum.
