Full Job Description

  • Job Holder: Trot Boat Driver

  • Purpose:

  • Transport MYC members, crew and equipment to and from their craft.

  • Responsible to: General Manager

  • Main Responsibilities / Tasks: Boat movements from our Pontoon to members vessels. Use of a VHF radio, experience with boats and River environments.

  • Boat Driving


    • i. Transport MYC members, crew and equipment to and from their boats

    ii. Report any faults with club boats to officer of the day.

    iii. Comply with all health and safety procedures.
  • Health and Safety


    • The health and safety of MYC staff and members is paramount. MYC has a clear Health and Safety (H&S) Policy and is committed to providing necessary training, equipment and resources. Staff are required to familiarise themselves with the MYC H&S policy and in particular any items where they are identified as being either Responsible or Accountable in the RACI (see MYC H&S Policy for details).

    Each member of MYC staff has responsibility for their own, other members of staff and club members' health and safety.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential

  • RYA Power Boat level two

  • RYA VHF licence

  • Recommended RYA Safety Boat Qualification

    This is a weekend post cover Saturday afternoons. We offer a competitive salary, and free lunch each shift. More hours maybe available for the right candidate.
