Full Job Description

The successful candidates will have excellent communication and assessment skills; be resilient, able to work proactively and autonomously but also work as part of a team.

Work with our legal team and safeguarding teams to ensure that the care and support provided is safe, robust and within the legal framework for Deprivation of Liberty and eventually Liberty Protection Safeguards.

You will ensure a robust, fair and equitable process is followed in your assessments.

You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, you will motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement

Strong person centred attitude to service delivery; you are friendly, personable, and confident when liaising with others.

The post holder will be required to work closely with Local Authorities and commissioned ICB services to ensure the S117 pathway is adhered to. Ensuring a timely informed discharge from hospital to placement.

Working closely with local agencies to develop pathways in line with the Mental Health Act.

The post holder will re-assess all new patient placements within initial 6-8 weeks assessment period to ensure placement suitability and discuss with patient quality and care issues.

Manage highly complex, sensitive and contentious patient information duringinteractions with legal representatives and independent provider clinical teams where the environment can be hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive
