Full Job Description

Responsible for supporting and assisting customers in a positive and engaging way in their carpet journey, liaising with 3rd parties to maximise sales and profit.

What's the job?

  • Pro-actively approach customers to make them aware of our Carpet range and services and how we can assist.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, and have a good understanding of the carpet ordering, delivery and fitting services.

  • Able to use spreadsheets, calendars, and use our ordering systems to place customer orders.

  • Develop great working relationships with your local carpet fitters.

  • Manage all aspects of the customer journey from in store selection process, processing orders, liaising with relevant carpet fitters, and ensuring the customer Is satisfied at every step of the way.

  • Using company systems, process the customers order from end to end for both supply and installation customers.

  • Review survey bookings and survey completion to ensure that fit dates are agreed and put in.

  • Ensure all types of customer communications are dealt with professionally.

  • Encourage customer feedback, share it with Managers and use it to improve service.

  • Work with colleagues across the Décor and Surfaces area to help and support them including sharing knowledge in your area of expertise to help drive sales.

  • Adhere to the policies, processes, and regulations relevant to your role and store ensuring these are implemented consistently.

  • Take personal responsibility for operating in a safe and legally compliant way.

  • You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as we may reasonably require.

  • Work across the Flooring and Tiling area to aid our customer.

  • Store Leadership Team, Décor and Surfaces Team Leader, Carpet fitters, Headlam Carpets company representatives.

    Essential Technical / Professional Qualifications (if required):

    Comfortable with using Microsoft Office or other comparable software packages.
