Activate Learning have an exciting opportunity to join our Careers Leadership Team as a Careers Delivery Lead at Reading College.

This is a dynamic role requiring collaboration with the Oxfordshire and Surrey Delivery Leads to design, implement and monitor our progressive CEIAG programme known as the Career Readiness and Employability programme across the Activate Learning group of colleges.

You will also lead a team of Careers Advisers to deliver all aspects of careers education including impartial 1:1 guidance, workshops and events, to support our students to learn about the world of work and to plan their next steps.

This role is full time (37 hours per week), based at Reading college, with occasional travel to other campuses to support with events.

Annual salary range between £37,481 - £41,377 depending on experience.

A part time contract could be considered for the right candidate.

What do you need to be successful as a Careers Delivery Lead at Activate Learning?

We are looking for a qualified careers guidance professional with excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Level 6 or above in Careers Guidance (QCG, PG diploma or equivalent)

  • Experience of CEIAG delivery.

  • Careers Leader qualification or willingness to complete once in post.

  • Management experience.

  • Experience in an FE setting with a clear understanding of the cycle of activities.

  • Familiar with Matrix Standard assessments or Ofsted inspections.

  • Experience of developing CEIAG programmes.


  • In addition, you will have the ability to develop effective relationships with students, staff, employers, and other external partners.
