Full Job Description
- Assist and enable the people we support with personal hygiene needs such as grooming, the management of continence and getting in and out of bed
- Contribute to the movement and handling of people we support to maximise their physical abilities and mobility
- Enable people who use our services to achieve physical comfort
- Assist in the preparation and making of meals, drinks and snack
- Enable the people we support to maintain a good level of nutrition and hydration.
- Prompting/assisting with medication
- We offer great support to our Care Assistants with ongoing training, a supportive management team and competitive rates of pay.
- We pay £14 per hour and offer fantastic progression within the business.
- Paid Mileage £20/Mile
Am I the right person for this Care Assistant job?
Essential: Car driver and use of own vehicle.
Desirable: 1 year's experience as a carer.
All candidates must demonstrate their caring, compassionate nature and be able to work alone but as part of a wider team. You will need a strong work ethic and a commitment to empowering the individuals you support.
Portfolio Homecare is a large homecare provider based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Hours of Work: 40 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 06:00 - 22:00 / 60:00 - 16:00 / 16:00 - 22:00 - Flexible Provider + Every Other Weekend
