Full Job Description
A small (24 rooms), friendly, private and family-owned care home for the elderly and residents with dementia is looking for an experienced care assistant to join our team.
Applicants must be 21+ to provide personal care.
We have two vacancies one day shift and one night shift.
The working hours are 24-36 hours per week, arranged according to rota and to include occasional weekend shifts and some bank holidays. Additional shifts will be available during periods of annual leave or staff sickness. Shifts are 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am
The successful applicant must demonstrate flexibility when it comes to covering shifts and reliability is essential, as are good communication skills and previous experience working with elderly people with dementia.
An existing qualification of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is preferred but training will be provided.
