Full Job Description

The Senior Capability Consultant will work alongside the Propulsion People Partners to support delivery of the Capability element of the People Strategy.

The successful candidate will drive the creation, development and deployment of talent development strategies within Propulsion. Working alongside the JLR Learning Academy, Talent development and Early careers teams, your role will be to represent the Propulsion learning priorities and deliver development strategies which support our transformation towards Electrification. The role supports hybrid working and will involve some travel between facilities in the Midlands on an ad hoc basis.

The role holder must focus on ensuring the strategies and associated interventions that they develop align with the Propulsion People Strategy. They must engage and seek input from the relevant customers and stakeholders across both plants to ensure we optimise the Propulsion learning plan and that needs are met.,

  • Lead and coordinate cross functional talent activities across Propulsion.

  • In partnership with colleagues from the People Function and the Business, drive the Learning & Development element of the Propulsion People agenda in our facilities.

  • Support the definition of the Capability roadmap for Propulsion

  • Coordinate the deployment of the annual operational learning planning cycle in correlation with the annual business planning cycle for Propulsion.

  • Coordinate the development and deployment of learning programmes and pathways for core and technical skills for Propulsion to enable development in role and career development.

  • Support the gathering of early careers requirements for Propulsion aligned with the workforce plan and key skills needs.

    Experience of development & deployment of Talent and Learning interventions for volume and bespoke specialist needs across multiple teams.

  • Broad generalist HR experience, ideally with experience working in large complex, blue-chip organisations. Automotive HR experience could be a benefit but is not essential.

  • Proven track record of delivering large scale people related projects/programmes. e.g. Volume training and development, Graduate and Apprentice assessment, selection and development programmes.

  • Ability to create and sustain excellent relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  • Able to create viable business cases and present return on investment - with accurate data reporting skills.
